The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group enter places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Fans can expect discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
